By utilising our key supply chain we can source any product which we cannot provide and hire this for you ensuring a one stop shop for your hire needs.
We have a large selection of 180 degrees backhoe loaders, mini excavators, tracked excavators, wheeled excavators, forward tipping dumpers, ride on rollers, telescopic handlers, plant trailers and excavator attachments. We operate a Fleet Replacement Policy exchanging our machines every 2-3 years, thus ensuring the customer receives a quality and reliable product on time every time.

At Lomond we recognise in today’s ever changing economic market; having the ability to choose how you use your plant and run your jobs can be the difference between success and failure. We changed the way we hire our plant offering the full range for Self-Drive hire as well as the alternative to provide it with an experienced operator.
Self-Drive Hire:
Allowing customers to utilize their own qualified operators to operate the machine when required and cut the cost of rental. This option would be charged by either daily or weekly rates and is available across our entire range of plant.
Operated Plant Hire:
By using our experienced team of Plant operators who are fully trained to CITB standards and hold current NOCN & NPORS cards, this allows the customer to get a job done professionally, saving time and money. All our operators are also trained in-house on a number of operational topics to enhance and refresh there learning.
This option is normally charged on an hourly rate but day rates can be agreed where required.
Our experienced hire desk is responsible for arranging the hire of all plant equipment whether hired from our vast hire fleet or externally from our supply chain:
They liaise with our customers and suppliers over the telephone ensuring all queries are dealt with in a professional and friendly manner. They process all orders internally or externally with suppliers building relationships with customers and external suppliers. They have strong communication and organisational skills, work well as a team and to timescales and deadlines.
They have good working knowledge of our bespoke hire management software enabling:
- Live On/Off Hire Control
- Transport Delivery/Collection Scheduling
- Fleet Repairs and Maintenance control
- Invoicing, Purchasing and Stock Control
- Associated documents directly emailed to client i.e. Hire Contracts, LOLER Certification & Operators Certification.
